Kavitha Kalvakuntla Wins Nizamabad MLC Election Securing 728 votes

Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's daughter, has registered a landslide victory in the Nizamabad MLC election with a huge majority.

While TRS's Kavita has won 728 votes in the Nizamabad MLC election, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has bagged only 56 votes. Congress, on the other hand, has managed to win only 28 votes.

The bypoll to the Telangana Legislative Council from Nizamabad Local Authorities constituency was held on Friday.

Three candidates, including Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's daughter and former MP K Kavitha, were in the fray for the Nizamabad MLC election.

In 2019, Kavitha Kalvakuntla had lost the Nizamabad Parliamentary elections to BJP’s D Arvind. Kavitha Kalvakuntla, CM KCR's daughter, who has been the party face in Delhi is now eyeing a big role in state politics. She has become the fourth member of the KCR's family to be actively involved in politics
