Hyderabad 90 Per Cent IT Employees Working From Home



IT/ITeS industry in Hyderabad is still continuing with the work from home regime with 95 per cent of the companies – big and small – allowing 90 to 100 of employees to work from home, said a survey by Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association (Hysea).

The survey also pointed out that the majority of enterprises wanted 70 per cent work from home or more. In terms of employee productivity, the survey pointed out that 80 per cent of the companies have said that employee productivity is above 75 per cent and almost all large and very large companies have reported productivity above 90 per cent.

Broadband, power cuts and working atmosphere at employee homes turned out to be the major obstacle for work from home, even as low employee morale was reported by 34 per cent employees,” it said.

On the hiring front, 70 per cent of the large and very large companies hired freshers in the last six months and 50 per cent of the companies said that their campus hiring in 2021-22 will return to pre-pandemic levels. Nearly 60 per cent of the companies said that lateral hiring will go in the current fiscal. Nearly 64 per cent of the companies reported flat or single digit revenues and profitability in 2020-21 over 2019-21 fiscal.TT
