Member TSWB Moulvi Waheed Ahmed Advocate Said the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao assured protection of Waqf properties from illegal encroachments in the Assembly, the Govt of Telangana on Thursday issued a GO ordering ban on all types of registration on Waqf properties in the state. The Chief Minister has once again proved his sincerity in safeguarding the Waqf properties and fulfilled his promise within two weeks.
The issue over the protection of Waqf properties from illegal encroachments was raised in the assembly. The GO Ms. No 15 prohibits the registration under Section 22-A of the Registration Act, 1908 and orders were issued for non-issuance of building permits for construction by Municipalities and Gram Panchayats. The Govt in the said order, directed the Telangana State Waqf Board (TSWB) CEO to furnish the list of all Waqf properties in the state to the Managing Director of Dharani portal, Inspector General of Registration and Stamps, all District Collectors, Municipal Commissioners and Panchayat Secretaries & instructed the addressed govt officials and authorities to ensure that all Waqf properties are included in the list of properties prohibited for registration, thereby putting them under 'Auto Lock' & disabling the online registration module for such properties. COUNTER TO THE STATEMENT OF MD.SHABBIR ALI, EX.MINISTER FOR MINORITIES WELFARE: With regard to statement of Shabbir Ali, Ex. Minister for Minorities Welfare, it is to inform that the The Dargah Hzt. Syed Ali Ishaq Madani Aulia, Visakhapatnam is notified in A.P.Gazette Dated: 30-11-1962 as well as addendum has been published in Gazette No. 37, Dt: 16-09-1965. As per the G.O.s Issued by the Govt., vide G.o. Ms. No. 239, Dated: 22-03-1999 and G.O. Ms No. 711, dated: 05-10-1999 the land was handed over to the HNPCL and NTPC by the then District Collector, Visakhapatnam District in the year 1999 in consonance to the Supreme Court Civil Appeal No 4372/85 on 21-12-1998. The Government issued GO Ms. No. 10, Minorities Welfare Department Dt: 07-03-2008 declaring the lands to an extent of Ac. 5381.31 Cents as Waqf lands relating to Dargah Hzt. Syed Ali Ishaq Madani Aulia and the entire land of Devada Village belongs to Waqf.
An amount of Rs. 52,42,11,955/- has been received by the Waqf Board towards compensation amount @ Rs.2.25 Lakhs per acre, whereas at that time, the land value was Rs.52.00 Lakhs approximately and the Congress Government has caused huge loss to Waqf Board at that time.
