Don’t show ‘herogiri’, KTR Tells Congress
Municipal administration and urban development minister K.T. Rama Rao on Thursday told Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy not to try to show “herogiri” during Zero Hour of the Assembly.

The minister was countering the allegations of the Congress MLA that the state government had failed to sanction funds to newly constituted Choutuppal and Chandur municipalities in the Munugodu Assembly segment.

The Congress MLA alleged that the state government had failed to provide basic amenities in both towns.

Reacting to the allegations, Rama Rao said that every month the government had been releasing `148 crore to municipalities in
the state under Pattana Pragathi programme.

Stating that in the municipal elections the TRS has won 122 municipalities out of 130 in the state, Rama Rao said, “If the state government has not done anything, would it possible for the TRS towin 122 civic bodies.” DC
