Three Nigerians were arrested by the Prohibition and Excise department here on Friday, on charges of possessing cocaine.
Six grams of cocaine, a car and bike and four mobile phones were seized from the possession of the arrested persons – Samuel Smith Nelson (32) of Tolichowki, and James Morrision (27) and Marwan Abdul Kareem Abdullahal Taher (32), both residents of Prashanthi Nagar in Malakpet, according to N Anjireddy, Assistance Excise Superintendent, Enforcement, Hyderabad
The excise officials detained the trio after intercepting a car while conducting route checking at Tolichowki. On further enquiry, it was revealed that one Immanual Ummudu alias Immanuel alias Imma from Mumbai supplied the stock to them.
Immanuel, who is absconding, was earlier arrested twice by the excise department and once by Raidurgam police. At present, he shifted base to Mumbai and kept his agents in Hyderabad. They were selling cocaine at Rs 6,000 per gram to the customers.TT
