The water level in River Godavari at Bhadrachalam was increasing steadily and reached 30 feet mark on Wednesday. Irrigation projects in Kothagudem district are receiving huge inflows in the wake of continuous rains in their catchment area. Pedavagu project in Aswaraopet mandal, Lothuvagu and Isukavagu in Aswapuram mandal were overflowing and road transport has been affected in 18 villages in Aswaraopeta mandal and 16 villages in
Aswapuram mandal. Due to continuous rainfall in Bhadrachalam, Nityannadanam satram and the east entrance area of Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy Temple were inundated with rainwater.
