Former President Pranab Mukherjee, is on ventilator support after undergoing a brain surgery at the Army Research and Referral hospital, where he had also tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday, 10 August, reported Hindustan Times (HT).
According to HT, officials informed that the President underwent “a successful brain surgery for removal of clot.”
President Ram Nath Kovind reportedly spoke to his daughter Sharmishtha Mukherjee and inquired about the former President’s health.
Mukherjee on Monday tweeted saying he has tested positive for COVID-19, during a visit to the hospital for a separate procedure. The 84-year-old asked those who came in contact with him in the past week to self-isolate and also get tested.
