Oman Sunday confirmed 1,147 new cases of the novel coronavirus, bringing the country's total infections to 76,005, the Omani news agency ONA reported, amid a spike in incidence rates.
The newly diagnosed cases include 1,053 Omanis and 94 foreign residents, the Health Ministry said without disclosing nationalities of the foreign patients.
Thirteen new deaths from COVID-19 have taken Oman's total such fatalities to 384.
The country's overall recoveries from the disease have increased by 1,238 to reach 55,299, the ministry added in an update
